Don’t make pour decisions—drink better tequila! Recently, Rocco’s Tacos, located in Mercato Naples, hosted an unforgettable Gran Coramino Tequila Pairing Dinner in celebration of Kevin Hart’s new tequila line, and I was lucky enough to snag an invite. And of course, no one should sip tequila solo, so my foodie partner-in-crime, @tasteofswfl, came along for the ride.
The evening featured a four-course meal paired with three different Gran Coramino tequilas—each one smooth, flavorful, and perfectly balanced with its dish. A brand representative guided guests through each pairing, sharing tasting notes and stories behind the tequila’s craftsmanship.
The meal kicked off with Melon Carpaccio, a refreshing bite paired with Cristalino Reposado, followed by a Wahoo Ceviche complemented by the traditional Reposado—bright, zesty, and packed with flavor.
For the main course, guests enjoyed a grilled filet mignon tenderloin paired with Añejo, which delivered deep caramel notes that elevated the dish perfectly. And because no night is complete without dessert, the final pairing featured a tequila espresso martini made with Añejo tequila, served alongside a brown sugar pudding—a rich, sweet ending to an incredible evening.
Even if you’re not a big tequila drinker, Gran Coramino might just change your mind. Smooth, complex, and crafted with care, it’s a great bottle to gift—or enjoy—this holiday season.
